    Your rights

The health insurance company is obliged to reimburse the costs of outpatient treatment abroad. In the case of hospitalisation, however, prior permission is required. You can read more about this in the Dutch brochure Your rights which is mainly aimed at Dutch patients in Belgium. For more information on your rights, go to our special page.

    Self regulation

People can usually do more than they think they can. And if you want to change or improve something in your life, it is good to know what your options are. The Dutch self-management tool is a tool to help you visualise these possibilities. It allows you to make use of the experience and knowledge of people who have gone through the same thing.
